Another culinary experience in the city,,
The restaurant, Le Dauphin, is located near from the Chateau de Pau. To go there you can easily take the bus to Bosquet Centre and then take a walk for about 10 minutes. The restaurant is right behind the Chateau, so you won’t miss it. It’s a nicely decorated small restaurant and Le Dauphin means “The Dolphin”, so with the presence of the aquarium, the blue stripes napkins, etc, they’re trying to make us feel like in a boat . And with the old songs played from the tape, it makes us feel like going back to the 80’s 🙂
The specialty of Le Dauphin is actually the sea food, but I’ve been in love with the duck since I’m in Pau, so I decided to order confit de canard, or in Indonesian version it will be something like “Bebek Penyet” (LOL). The texture of the meat is very soft and you can easily separate the meat from the bones and it is REALLY delicious. Or like the French said, the taste is incroyable !!
The salmon salad is very nice but the portion is a little bit too much so if you’re in a diet and want to have something lighter, you can try to have the fish soup instead. The chocolate cake is also nice because it’s served warm and it’s not too sweet so you can really feel the bitter dark chocolate melted in your mouth,, mmm,, yum yum,,
And please, don’t think that I’m living my life here as a tourist who can go for window shopping everyday and try different cuisines every night :p I assure you that I’m still attending my training everyday ( from 8 to 5 !!). What I’m doing is just trying to make the most of my time here (by eating a lot??!! LOL) and I hope that you’re also making the most of your time anywhere you are.
Have a good day friends or like the French said, Bonne Journée (^o^)
